Independent Study prepares the practitioner to attend Instructor Training “Bootcamp.” If you have any desire to become an ABA instructor teaching Modules 1-6, this is the class for you.
This class broadens your understanding of the application of procedures and further indications for use, as well as brings into present relevance the history of Tom Bowen and Ossie’s interpretation of the work. We will work with you individually, guiding your study systematically through anatomy relevant to beginning students, on through deeper structures. There will be recommended readings, including those on anatomy, adult learning, and learning styles; and other recommendations on skills necessary to be a successful ABA instructor. Most important, you will gain a context for why we do what we do.
Prerequisites: current with the Academy; module 10.
