Bowenwork found Susan when she was introduced to it at the end of her massage school training in 2007. She had been suffering with a torn rotator cuff and wondered if she could actually continue to massage. The gentle yet dynamic movements were intriguing and the results of that first sample session were so dramatic that she enrolled in classes and was pleasantly surprised when the shoulder healed completely without surgery.
Susan has completed all twelve Modules, as well as Bowenwork courses: Deep Anatomy, Bowen for Immobile, Stroke Care, and Chronic Fatigue, Postural Assessment, Childbirth, Babies, and Toddlers, as well as her new passion-Mind/Body and Bowen. In 2012 Susan became an Associate Instructor and completed her Full Instructor training in July of 2014. Instructing seemed a natural direction for Susan as she has taught both adults and children and has an interest in sharing the healing rewards of Bowenwork with others.
Experience Bowenwork is the name of Susan’s business in beautiful Edmonds, Washington. Every day holds the opportunity for a miracle with Bowenwork!

Not one modality was as effective as she liked to serve her broad range of clientele, until Cobalt discovered Bowenwork. The results are the most efficient and effective way to address the body’s needs while engaging its own ability to heal.
As someone active in her community, Cobalt was inspired by how Tom Bowen helped people and immediately resonated with his precise way of addressing imbalance in the body. She has experienced the healing benefits in her own body and seen it in so many of her client’s. Cobalt has seen bound toes soften and unwind, TMJ surgery avoided, and chronic pain managed. Bowenwork has been a changing force in her life.
It was a natural path to pursue teaching this phenomenal work. Cobalt’s love for teaching and sharing Bowenwork comes across in her classes. Cobalt has an amazing sense of humor, teaches to many different learning styles in an adaptable format, is charismatic and personable. Becoming an Instructor has created an opportunity for her to empower future practitioner’s, to give the gift of self-correction to the people they touch. What a powerful ripple of positive change. Bowenwork has created a simple balance in her life.
Cobalt is currently teaching in Portland, OR and is willing to travel.

Hi there! From my first Bowenwork class, I was amazed, intrigued, and taken with how effective and profound, yet gentle, the work was. That curiosity and passion to keep learning more were key to my becoming a Master Practitioner. In addition to Bowenwork and being a Physical Therapist, I have extensive education in additional modalities that are founded on the same premise. The premise of giving the body tools and input so that it can begin to figure out how to use it’s available resources to heal itself. A little about me. My favorite career has been being mom to my twins who are in their early 20’s. I am passionate about exercise and have dedicated myself to walking a minimum of 20-30 minutes every day. Gut health is something else that I pursue with zeal as it is critical when it comes to being healthy. I am learning to enjoy strength training because it becomes more important with age. I don’t believe in being stuck in limitations and I love to grow, learn, explore, and evolve. I am also an author. I have another business around the artwork I create with my writing. In addition, my faith has been a core part of my life and how I live it. I love to hear about people’s lives and their journey through it. It is my goal to provide space for people to feel safe to share and heal. I look forward to meeting you, hearing your story, and helping you on your healing journey!

After 45 years of experience as a business professional at the university, not-for-profit and entrepreneurial level, she moved to Arizona and started her final career. Now she is living her dream and sharing the joy of hope with clients as a Certified Professional Bowenwork Practitioner in Colorado .
Thirty-five years ago Teresa’s medical challenges, including a diagnosis of fiber cystic breast disease and structural issues from sitting at computers for many hours, led to research into holistic health solutions. No one had the answers to relieve the symptoms she suffered, and after 15 years the thought of developing breast cancer via the cysts loomed heavy. Through faith, research and persistence she discovered the truth about the imbalances of her body and implemented several holistic approaches making her recovery a reality. Finally, after 25 years and her first normal mammogram, she found Bowenwork her first choice for overall bodily balance and wellness.
Teresa has been a past member of Flagstaff’s Parkinson Support Group, a Northland Hospice volunteer, Further Shore Pre-Hospice Practitioner and she received additional end of life training through Danion Brinkley’s Twilight Brigade. She has also completed additional workshops on aging, Animal Bowen 1 & 2 with Carol Bennett. Supplemental Bowen classes by international instructors including Alastair McLoughlin, John Wilks and Louise Tremblay were added as a continued commitment to the knowledge needed to serve her clients.
In her twenties, spare time was spent studying herbal medicine and yoga, which then led to procuring knowledge as a Reiki and Shamballa Reiki Master. Continuing on she became a Reconnection Healing Practitioner, Medicinal Oils Certified, and Shaman in training .
