Bowen is a gentle non-invasive hands-on therapy that triggers the body’s inherent healing mechanism. While wearing loose clothing the client lies comfortably on a massage table while I gently strum over key points on fascia, the network that is also known as connective tissue. These subtle moves on the fascia affect musculature as well as the nervous and lymphatic systems. Because this technique is so gentle my clients range from infants to the elderly. Bowen produces a deep relaxation that can release blocked emotional energy which frees up and accelerates the healing process. In my practice I see the positive changes that change the quality of living for my clients. It is with the greatest joy I conduct my practice and delight in assisting clients recover a sense of renewed energy, vitality and peace as a result of this work.
IN addition to the advanced Bowenwork training I have pursued I have earned a B.S. in Psychology from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri (USA) and am an accomplished artist and serve on an Auxiliary Board of the Detroit Institute of Art, Friends of Arts and Flowers. I have promoted Bowen Technique in the State of Michigan and successfully sponsored teachers to teach Bowen Technique here in the Detroit Metro Area. I have spoken to several support groups here in Michigan regarding the benefits of Bowen Technique. It has been my dream to make this wonderful and amazing work well known and thought of in this part of the world. In my studies I have had the opportunity to meet other practitioners from all over the world and connected with them on a personal level as colleagues and friends. I thank Tom Bowen for his gift through the amazing Ozzie and Elaine and their generosity of spirit to spread and teach this all over the world.
