My own journey with Bowenwork began in 2013 with a herniated lumbar disc and horrible sciatic pain. A friend referred me to Darleen Sumner in SE Portland. While it didn’t repair the disc, I have no doubt that Bowenwork helped manage the pain and enabled my body to heal itself! At that time, I was seeking a career change after 14 years as a missionary, and Darleen was starting a training class. I loved it! I quickly completed my training to become a certified practitioner and later went on to be trained as an Associate Instructor of the technique. I now have a thriving Bowenwork practice called Bridge to Healing in North Bend, Oregon (near Coos Bay) where I help clients feel their best and teach introductory classes. I am continually amazed by Bowenwork and the body’s ability to heal itself with this gentle encouragement!

Lynna is a FREE spirit who speaks the language of NATURE, the BODY, and the SOUL. She seeks wonder and tends to follow the things that bring her joy and feeds her passions; such as wandering through the trees, dancing wildly under the moon, spending time with her grand-kids, writing poetry, drumming, talking with strangers, and showing up in LOVE for those who are needing extra care and support. She especially resonates with the weird, outcasts, misfits, and anyone who doesn’t feel as if they belong. Since treating so many bodies, she has discovered that she has special healing gifts when it comes to tapping into energy in the body and getting people out of their busy minds. When she places her hands on a client, her body will start mirroring their energy patterns, often targeting where there might be stuck or erratic flows of energy. Her clients include many types of individuals and sometimes, traditional massage is not always the answer. Those who have experienced trauma, sexual abuse, grief, anxiety; those who are highly sensed, the LGBTQ and neuro-diverse are great candidates for the subtle art of Bowenwork Therapy.
A quote from one of Lynna’s clients: “What I experienced in one Bowen therapy session is something I’ve never been able to get in 10 years of massage. Lynna doesn’t just treat the body – she listens to it, speaks to it, and helps it release what words sometimes cannot touch. What I love is that she balances it all: She’s incredibly knowledgeable, down-to-earth and practical, yet also deeply intuitive.”

Hello,
I’M Monica Bradley and I have been practicing bodywork since 1997. I was first exposed to Bowen work after being in an auto accident in 2015 and was amazed with the results. I am impressed with how this work helps to realign the skeletal system, ease pain on a global level as well as to improve flexibility. I appreciate how gentle it is and can be used on everyone.
Bowen is a gentle non-invasive hands-on therapy that triggers the body’s inherent healing mechanism. While wearing loose clothing the client lies comfortably on a massage table while I gently strum over key points on fascia, the network that is also known as connective tissue. These subtle moves on the fascia affect musculature as well as the nervous and lymphatic systems. Because this technique is so gentle my clients range from infants to the elderly. Bowen produces a deep relaxation that can release blocked emotional energy which frees up and accelerates the healing process. In my practice I see the positive changes that change the quality of living for my clients. It is with the greatest joy I conduct my practice and delight in assisting clients recover a sense of renewed energy, vitality and peace as a result of this work.
IN addition to the advanced Bowenwork training I have pursued I have earned a B.S. in Psychology from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri (USA) and am an accomplished artist and serve on an Auxiliary Board of the Detroit Institute of Art, Friends of Arts and Flowers. I have promoted Bowen Technique in the State of Michigan and successfully sponsored teachers to teach Bowen Technique here in the Detroit Metro Area. I have spoken to several support groups here in Michigan regarding the benefits of Bowen Technique. It has been my dream to make this wonderful and amazing work well known and thought of in this part of the world. In my studies I have had the opportunity to meet other practitioners from all over the world and connected with them on a personal level as colleagues and friends. I thank Tom Bowen for his gift through the amazing Ozzie and Elaine and their generosity of spirit to spread and teach this all over the world.
