Andrea has been a practitioner since 2009. She aims to work with the body’s nervous system to make it more balanced and peaceful. She coaches:
1.) Tom Bowen’s 80/20 anti-inflammatory foods contain plenty of water and other enlivening techniques for drinking more good, clean water throughout the day.
2.) The movement of deep breathing in session, walking 20 minutes in the sunshine after a session and each day, and Bowenwork integrative movements after specific procedures.
3.) Waiting in between moves in the calming meditation of a session designed to release stress, working toward a restful night’s sleep for the glymphatic system, and the peaceful assurance that the body can obtain the resources required for self-repair without needing other deep-tissue modalities within five days before/after a session.
4.) What to do in the waiting days can be creative walks, finding purpose, support, love, compassion, humor, play, affirmations, and freedom.

I believe that we have been given many tools and advantages to help our bodies return to its divine blue print. There is a balance in utilizing resources and our innate ability to heal. When our bodies are given the correct tools and blocks removed, effective and possible lasting changes can take place.
I am passionate about supporting others in their journey to restoring balance physically, emotionally, and spiritually.  My focus is in pain and stress reduction, balance for a healthy body, mind and spirit, and empowering each individual on their unique path and journey.
I am passionate about the opportunities we have to support our health. All the modalities I offer I have personally tried and tested. I have my own personal healing journey from using them and am excited to support others in their journey of wellbeing.
I worked in the medical field for 8 yrs as a nursing and medical assistant. I aspired to become a nurse practitioner and music therapist but my path shifted and I am now a Holistic Health Practitioner and massage therapist. I am currently finishing my Therapeutic Musician training. These definitely “fit” my beliefs and abilities with empowering the client to create balance, peace and physical support.
I love music! I own a music studio and teach as well as play the piano, harp, guitar, ukulele, Indian flute, and sing. I enjoy creating meditation and therapeutic music, writing poetry and have started writing a few books. I love cycling, kayaking, and “zen”ning out in nature by the river, rocks and trees. I love reading, enjoy the humor my children bring and love creating things with wood. I strive to embody Kigatsuku & Kaizen.
I have additional training and/or certifications in the following modalities:
Bowenwork, Vibroacoustic, TBM – Total Body Modification, Therapuetic Music, HeartMath, Sound Healing, VoiceBio-Voice Analysis, Holistic and Functional Nutrition, Mindfulness/Meditation,  Yoga, Qi Gong, Holistic Herbalism, Holistic Aromatherapy, Ayurveda, Acupressure, Emotion Release, Chakra Balancing, Cranial Sacral, Geriatric Massage, Hot Stones, Lomi Lomi, Medical Massage, Myofascial Release, Perinatal, Prenatal, Reflexology,  Reiki, Shiatsu, Sports, Structural Integration, Swedish Massage, and Thai Yoga.
Hi, I’m Doreen Spackman. What is most important to me is family. Our children are grown, so we cherish each moment we have with our grandchildren and our first great-grandchild. I enjoy gardening, hiking, preparing and eating healthy food, using herbs, learning self-empowerment tools, and sharing with others- whether it’s produce from the garden or all of the other learning I have picked up along my journey. I have enjoyed practicing, consulting, and teaching classes on whole body health, for over 30 years, so Bowenwork was a natural fit.
From the first Bowenwork session I received, I knew I wanted to learn and become a practitioner. I started training the following month. Bowenwork complements what I was already doing to assist the body in healing itself. It seemed very natural to continue my training and become an Associate Instructor and now an Instructor. This education allows me to better help clients and others learn simple ways to empower themselves so that when life challenges occur, they can feel confident in taking care of them. I love seeing the excitement in students when they have helped a family member or a friend get relief and enjoy more mobility, health, and vitality.
Learning and sharing Bowenwork has blessed my family in so many ways, from resolving aches and pains to gaining mobility, addressing severe concussions, and many more conditions that have been resolved through the simple Bowenwork moves. Whether it’s the Intro to Wellness class or Modules 1-6, the students I’ve been able to share Bowenwork with are amazing! I continue to look forward to sharing the joy of learning Bowenwork with others!
Read more...I have been studying and training in natural therapies for over 20 years. Bowenwork fits right in with the work I have been doing and adds a piece to the puzzle. This work has helped ease and eliminate lower back pain, knee pain, insomnia, shoulder pain. It has helped with people’s golf swing by loosening up the muscles in the torso to help the body move with less restriction.
I work with athletes, new mothers, pregnant women, infertility issues, babies, and anybody needing this work.
By combining Iridology and Bowenwork I am able to be very specific as to the needs of the individual client by identifying areas of the body that need strengthening and nurturing. This along with herbs and nutrition can help create a perfect protocol for each individual.
Raised in a family that encourages natural healing, I have studied on my own herbs, homeopathy, nutrition and supplements for over 30 years.
I am in the midst of raising and homeschooling 5 children and they are a delight! We love music, hiking, rock climbing, enjoying friendships, handwork, being outside and almost anything physical.
I was introduced to Bowen through a conversation with my mother when she had a cartilage injury and was told it would be 6 weeks before it would heal (age 80) and it was completely healed in THREE days after treatment! I was *SOLD* and I signed up for training without ever having received a treatment. After arriving and having my first session after my first day of training my UTI (diagnosed by my physician before I left home) was GONE. All symptoms were gone! What is this magic? BOWENWORK! It made sense to me that when our bodies are in alignment all of our organs can function at a much higher level. I have seen the miracles that occur with Bowen and I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to train and to help others on their healing path.

Energy/body work is my passion. My main drive in working in the natural health field is to bring peace, health and vitality to people. When given the right input, the body can heal itself and create balance in people’s lives.
I have been in the holistic health field for over 17 years. Plus while growing up, I had the influence of a self-healing mentality around me. I like to think of myself as an eclectic healer. I have studied Traditional Chinese Medicine, Ayurveda, received my master’s degree in Herbology at the School of Natural Healing, and studied many other areas of the healing arts. I take principles and truths from these different systems and bring that knowledge into what will best serve my clients.
I was led to Bowenwork; it entered my path and everything flowed together. My prior training meshes very well with this amazing modality. I love how Bowenwork is gentle yet effective. I am working with people who couldn’t find results in other places and are experiencing the remarkable results of Bowenwork: a frozen shoulder healed in just 3 sessions, knee pain gone after the first session, and a mother who had the first full night’s deep and restful sleep since the birth of her five year old son. Who would have guessed that such a soft touch in specific locations could elicit a healing response through the whole energetic system of the body? LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this work!
I have been told over and over again that I have a gift of bringing comfort and peace into the lives of others. It is my desire that Bowenwork is a way for me to share that gift and hopefully touch the lives of my clients for good.

Health is a huge interest and passion for me, and more specifically functional, holistic, and integrative medicine approaches to health to find true health and wellness. In addition to Nursing, I have become a certified Health Coach and Functional Nutrition Counselor. In my nursing practice I often find ways of helping my frustrated patients with nutrition advice, functional medicine principles, and even Bowenwork!
My journey to Bowenwork was through helping a friend during her training to become a practitioner. I had a shoulder issue for 25 years that resolved after one session and after that I was hooked! Our bodies are intelligent, and an amazing, integrated, connected, and functional group of systems! I believe our bodies know how to heal and I love that Bowenwork helps to support that through greater mobility, health, and vitality.
